With this single, Tyla adds to her ever-growing collection of ringtone-grade bops.
Tyla’s been teasing this track for over a week now. There was also a bit of a “controversy” with Young Miami making claims that she put out a song similar to this earlier—said claims were found not to be rooted in reality, from what I can tell. Let’s take a look and see what the fuss is about.
For someone who’s appeared to be more brazen with vocal performances, her performance on this track is rather tame and repetitive. The beat works well with it at least. Not much about the writing: it’s basically the “put me in Chanel” lyric repeated over and over.
Overall, the track’s not bad. Was it worth teasing for over a week? No, it was not. But it’s nice enough for playlist fodder, at least.
