In a generally tranquil yet striking project like Poem 1, it’s some of its more calm and ambiguous moments, like “X,” that bear reflection. Lasting a little over three minutes, the track is led by the sound of a drone, with other sounds creeping in and out.
“X” is one of the better drone tracks I’ve heard this year so far. It, alongside the entire Poem 1 album, definitely deserves a listen. Expect a peaceful but not boring listen.
